Hawthorne Bridge Will Close Sunday For Scheduled Maintenance
The bridge will be closed to all traffic for the better part of Nov. 4 so county crews can perform work on the drawbridge and sidewalks.

PORTLAND, OR — All lanes of traffic along Hawthorne Bridge will be closed to travel this Sunday while county crews perform update maintenance to the drawbridge traffic gates and repairs to the sidewalks.
The closure will prevent travel over the bridge from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Nov. 4. The drawbridge will remain open during the closure to allow river traffic through. All other forms of transportation will be required to detour around the bridge.
Hawthorne Bridge routes for TriMet buses will be detoured to Morrison Bridge during the closure. Other bridge detour options for commuters include, but are not limited to, the Morrison and Ross Island bridges.
