"The raffle will also go toward providing a few monthly spay/neuters and basic vetting (vaccines and microchips) to a few community pibble owners who could use an extra hand to ensure their pups are health and able to stay in the home vs being surrendered to a shelter," Lovers Not Fighters outlined on their website.

Lovers Not Fighters is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and advocating for homeless, neglected, abandoned and abused pit bulls and pit bull type dogs. The Lovers Not Fighters website includes a section where you can apply to adopt or foster a pit bull. There are a few things to keep in mind if you're thinking of fostering or adopting a pibble:

  • You have to be 21 and older
  • Yards must be 100% secure with a 6' fence. If you're doing work to improve your yard, the group is open to hearing your plan to keep your dog safe in the meantime.
  • You have to fill out the application before meeting with one of the dogs. Lovers Not Fighters doesn't have a public facility and filling out the application helps foster moms and dads ensure that your home would be a good fit for adopting or fostering a pup.
