Marine Drive Closed As Police Probe Fatal Motorcycle Crash
Portland Police say that the motorcyclist collided with a semi-truck on Marine Drive around 2:30 on Wednesday afternoon.
PORTLAND, OR – A man driving a motorcycle is dead after colliding with a semi-truck on Wednesday afternoon. Portland Police say it happened around the 8300 block of Marine Drive.
It happened around 2:15 p.m..

Marine Drive is expected to be closed until around 8 p.m. while the investigation takes place.
Police say that early indications are that the motorcyclist had left the eastbound lane, tried to correct, and lost control, hitting the truck.

Officers believe that speed was a factor. The driver of the truck stayed at the scene.
This was the 25th fatal crash investigated this year by the police bureau's Major Crash Team.
