Missing Pilot Flew Out Of WA On Friday: Sheriff
George Regis, 63, may have been flying to Arizona or Texas when he took off Jan. 25, but he hasn't been seen or heard from since Saturday.
CAMAS, WA - A 63-year-old pilot who took off from Camas last Friday hasn't been seen or heard from since, according to the Clark County Sheriff's Office. George Regis may have been flying to Arizona or Texas, but the last ping recorded on his cell phone was in the Newberg/Dundee, Oregon, area on Saturday.
Regis reportedly flew out of Grove Field Airport around 12 p.m. Jan. 25. Pilots taking off from Grove Field are not required to submit a flight plan, officials said, noting the airport is owned and operated by Port of Camas-Washougal.
Regis is now considered missing, officials said.
