Patch: Tell Patch a little bit about your organization!
OFRH: The Oregon Foundation for Reproductive Health is a non-profit advocacy organization located in Portland. We actively participate in the health care transformation process in Oregon. In order to affect policy, we give power to women’s voices throughout Oregon and inform stakeholders of their priorities while working with a national network of experts. We work to ensure that reproductive health is prioritized in health care reform. OFRH is the sister-organization of NARAL Pro Choice Oregon, working together to proactively ensure all women have the resources to make healthy decisions about their bodies, sexuality, and reproduction for themselves, their families, and their communities in all areas of their lives.

Patch: What is the biggest struggle your organization faces?
OFRH: As a small non-profit with a big task, we are always looking for more folks to become involved- either as donors or volunteers. People can give and get involved in a variety of ways and we are always looking for new ways to engage people across the state.
Patch: What do you hope for the future of your nonprofit?
OFRH: We are hopeful that Oregon continues to protect the care of people in our state, to stop any cuts from Medicaid, and to continue to have preventive services such as contraception and well-woman visits a covered benefit with no-cost sharing. We plan to continue to be engaged with community partnerships and people in Oregon to ensure all Oregonians receive the care they deserve.
