NW Germantown Rd Closure Begins Monday
NW Germantown Road will be closed between NW Kaiser and NW Skyline for about a week while county crews replace a failed culvert.

PORTLAND, OR — A 2.5-mile section of Northwest Germantown Road will be closed for about a week beginning next Monday, according to Multnomah County Transportation. The closure will reportedly allow transportation crews to replace a failed culvert that runs underneath the road.
Beginning Monday, Oct. 15, at 7:30 a.m., crews will shut down all through traffic on Northwest Germantown Road between Northwest Skyline Boulevard and Northwest Kaiser Road. The closure will remain in place until roughly Oct. 22.
Only local traffic and emergency/delivery vehicles will be allowed into the closed portion of the road during the culvert replacement project, officials said. All other traffic will need to find alternate routes on Northwest Springville Road, Northwest Skyline Boulevard, and/or Northwest Cornelius Pass Road.

During the closure, crews will replace a failed culvert near 13766 N.W. Germantown Rd. The culvert typically carries stormwater, officials said, noting its failure has led to erosion and other damage to the road.
The $240,000 culvert replacement project is federally funded, with a 10 percent match from Multnomah County, officials said.
