Portland 5 Things to Do This Weekend in and Around the City

1. Members of the Portland Trail Blazers will be volunteering at the Oregon Food Bank this Saturday, Nov. 12. Meyers Leonard, Mason Plumlee, Allen Crabbe, Pat Connaughton, Jake Layman and Tim Quarterman will be volunteering alongside members of the military. The Trail Blazers are joining forces with the Oregon Food Bank and USO Northwest to make this happen. The Trail Blazers will be at the Oregon Food Bank between 2 - 3:15 p.m. this Saturday. 2. Pop Up Shop PDX is a curated temporary pop up market taking place on Saturday. The pop up up features some of the best designers and makers in Portland. Vendors include Umbrella Collective, Claire Green and Roots and Crowns, just to name a few. Attendance is free. Click here to learn more.

3. Fresh Film Northwest features movies made by teen filmmakers living in Oregon, Washington, Montana, Idaho, British Columbia and Alaska. All the movies screened were created by 13-19 year olds, showcasing the freshest new voices in the Pacific Northwest. 4. Saturday night is Comedy Night at the Oregon Zoo. This Saturday Portland's own Poison Waters will lead a night of laughs. Former Mayor of Portland Sam Adams had the following to say about Poison Waters:"...She has made a commitment to use her celebrity to educate and uplift us all." 5. The North West Food and Wine Festival features world-class wineries, distilleries and breweries. There will also be great food selections including cheeses, produce, chocolates and seafood.
