Portland 5 Things to Do This Weekend: Saying Goodbye To Summer
From the Unipiper a the Zoo to the Race for the Cure, there's plenty of things to do around the area this weekend.

PORTLAND, OR – It's the last full weekend of summer, which means that any day now the rain will start and not stop until July 5th or so.
Worry not.

Here's five possibilities:
1. The Oregon Zoo is hosting their end of summer party on Saturday from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m.. Folk music and other live music, lawn games, craft activities for kids, and plenty more. Of course, there are also the animals. Plenty of cute animals doing their thing – including the elephants having a pool party. The Unipiper will also be on hand.

2. Portland will be pink on Sunday as thousands of people will flood the streets for the 2018 Race for the Cure fundraiser for the Susan G. Komen of Oregon and SW Washington. Registration starts at 7 a.m. and the races/run/walks start at 9 a.m.. Since it's a fundraiser, there are fees, depending on one's status ($49 for adults, $29 for kids, $39 for survivors, and so forth). It starts and ends at Waterfront Park.
3. Like camping but hate tents? It's the annual Dall RV and Van Show at the Portland Expo Center. Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.. See all the latest. Admission is $10 though you can get 2 for 1 online.
4. What better way to celebrate living in the Rose City than heading to the Lloyd Center Mall for the Fall Rose Show sponsored by the Portland Rose Society. It's free and located by the Sears on the second floor.
5. Ever look at the sidewalk and think, "how boring?" Forest Grove understands how you feel. That's why they are having their Sidewalk Chalk Art festival downtown. Grab some chalk and doodle away. It's goes until 4 p.m. on Saturday
