Portland Area Forecast: High Winds Monday Followed By Mild Week

The National Weather Service says that the week gets off to a blustery start followed by a mild week with rain forecast on only three days.

PORTLAND, OR – Hold on to your hats. The National Weather Service's Portland Office says that we will be getting off to a blustery start on Monday with high winds and gusts expected through the morning.

So, if you're marching in the Veteran Day Parade in Portland on Monday, be prepared to hold on tightly to your flag.

After that, things are expected to settle down with a mild week ahead.

Get this, rain – normally a regular in November – is only forecast on three days. Only one of those days is the rain even considered likely.

Here's the forecast:

Monday – Windy but sunny with a high near 54 with the temps dropping down to 40 at night;

Tuesday – Partly sunny with the about 56 degrees and rain possibly developing in the evening;

Wednesday – This is the day we are most likely to see rain with rain likely before 10 a.m. followed by showers. The high will be around 55;

We close the week with two beautiful days on Thursday and Friday. Both days are expected to be sunny with the high hitting around 57 degrees.
