Portland Area Weekend Forecast Calls For Warm Weather, Blue Skies

It's not going to be hot this weekend but it will be nice. The highs will reach 50, there will be blue skies. Not bad for early January.

PORTLAND, OR – It's not often you get to sit down in early January and write, it's not going to be so bad this weekend. This is one of those times.

Yes, the calendar says early to mid January.

The National Weather Service's Portland forecasters are saying it should be a weekend with a lot of "mostly sunny and breezy."

FRIDAY – It's going to be about 50 degrees, partly sunny and definitely breezy with gusts as high as 30 mph.

During the night, it will cool down to about 39 degrees with a steady east wind of about 22 mph with gusts as high as 34 mph.

SATURDAY – Mostly sunny with the high going up to about 50 degrees. There will be an east wind of about 23 mph and gusting to 34 mph.

At night, the winds will remain steady and the temperature will dip down to about 37 degrees,

SUNDAY – More of the same. Mostly sunny with a high around 48 degrees. It will be more breezy than windy.

At night, the clouds will move in and the temperature will fall to about 37 degrees. The winds, again, will be breezy.
