Portland Forecast Says No More Snow For Now But Rain Is Coming
Portland and the surrounding area woke up to snow. The good news is that there won't be much more. The bad news – rain is coming next week

PORTLAND, OR – Portland and the metro area had snow over the weekend ranging from one inch to eight inches in areas. Forecasters say that while there will continue to be snow at higher elevations, there will be a new problem in the valley – cold rain.
The National Weather Service says that while Mt. Hood will be measuring the snow by the foot and places like Corbett have already cancelled school for Monday, it will be a different story for places such as Portland, Beaverton, Hillsboro, and Gresham.
They say that cold rain is coming and while it's not expected to have too much of an impact on the morning commute, that could change as the day moves on. Some school districts – particularly in east county such as Gresham-Barlow, Centennial, and Reynolds – announced on Sunday night that there would be late starts on Monday.

The bad news is there the high this week will struggle to 40 degrees, there will be a lot of rain, and the snow could fall on the valley floor on Monday.
Officials suggest regularly checking the forecast for the latest updates.
