Portland Motel 6 Killing Leads To Charges Against 15-Year-Old
Ian Olson was found dead last December in the Motel 6 in northeast Portland. Fifteen-year-old Jeremiah Hannon is charged with murdering him.

PORTLAND, OR – Last December 21, a worker entered a room at the Motel 6 in Northeast Portland, ready to clean it. What she found was much more than she could handle.
Inside the room, 18-year-old Ian Olson of St. Helens lay still. He had been shot to death.
On Tuesday, an indictment filed in Multnomah County, charging 15-year-old Jeremiah Hannon with murdering Olson.

Olson is charged with murder and robbery. Normally, Patch does not identify minors charged with crime and is only doing so because he is being charged as an adult with a Measure 11 crime.

Officials have not released any information about what led to the murder and what led them to Hannon.
Authorities also say that he was one of two teens who attacked a man at the Northeast 60th Avenue MAX stop.
A man was traveling with his wife and 10-year-old daughter when he asked Hannon and the other teen to turn down music that they were playing
Police say that Hannon and the other broke the man's jaw in two places and knocked out four of his teeth. He's charged with assault in connection with that incident, which happened less than one week after Olson's killing.
