Portland Parks Offers Open Swim Sessions On President's Day

Five different Portland pools will remain open Monday to give kids and families something to do on their day off.

From Portland Parks & Recreation: Portland Parks & Recreation pools are offering family swim and open play swim sessions on Monday, Feb. 19, (the President’s Day holiday) when many area schools do not hold classes.

Reminder that safety is a team effort. Lifeguards and parents share the responsibility to ensure that children have a safe and fun swimming experience.


Columbia Pool — 7701 N. Chautauqua Blvd.

  • 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Family Swim (shallow only)
  • 4 to 8 p.m. Open Swim (shallow only)
  • Admission: $3.50 youth; $4.50 adults

East Portland Pool — 740 S.E. 106th Ave.

  • 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Family Swim
  • 1 to 4 p.m. Open Swim
  • 7 to 9 p.m. Open Swim
  • Admission: $4.00 youth; $4.50 seniors/teens; $5.75 adults

Open swims are for all ages. Non-swimmers and children under 48 inches tall must be supervised in the water by an adult swimmer.

During Family Swim sessions, children must be accompanied in the water by their parent or guardian.
