Station seeks opportunities for partnerships
At its three-year anniversary, the station is doubling its effort to provide meaningful community service while remaining both inclusive and sustainable.
“Right now, people are hungry for authentic media they can trust,” says co-founder and Executive Director Rebecca Webb. “A good community radio station is a media platform for local voices – for musicians, nonprofits and small businesses.”
“It’s a great way to get word out about things that are important to our lives,” adds Webb.
The station gives voice to the local community via:
- Ongoing support and promotion of the arts and local events
- Valuable broadcasting education opportunities to area youth
- Reflection of community cultural and lifestyle values
- Hosting a professionally engineered Podcast Cooperative
As a 501c3, PRP relies on the financial support of listeners, friends, businesses and foundations.
Current sponsor/partners include Country Financial Insurance, Lagunitas Brewing Company, Mount Hood Community College, HOTLIPS Pizza, Nicoletta & Beppe’s Trattoria, Premier Motorsports, Bill R. McCracken Accounting, Five Star Guitars and M2P Marketing.
Along with showcasing the Portland-area music scene, the station has profiled more than 100 local nonprofits.
