Safe Kids Day At The Oregon Zoo This Weekend

In celebration of 20 years of safety education, American Medical Response, the Oregon Zoo, and Safe Kids organizations will meet May 5.

PORTLAND, OR — Celebrating 20 years of providing safety education, the Oregon Zoo will once again host the American Medical Response-Safe Kids Portland Metro event, Safe Kids Day at the Zoo this weekend.

From 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. May 5, Safe Kids Portland Metro and Safe Kids Washington County will offer games and prizes during activities designed to educate kids and parents on how to prevent injuries and make their world's a little safer — be it at home, on the road, or out in the city.

The first 900 participants to complete their passports will also receive a free bike helmet courtesy of Providence Children's Health.
