Seaside Aquarium Needs To Find Seal With Robe Around Its Neck

The fur seal was spotted on the south end of Seaside Beach. Workers from the aquarium tried to help but the seal swam away.

PORTLAND, OR – If you have any doubt about the problem of debris in the ocean, take a look at the pictures above. It's a fur seal with a rope tangled around its neck.

It was spotted Wednesday morning on the south end of Seaside Beach.

Officials from the Seaside Aquarium say that they "would really like to help the little guy out."

Aquarium officials say that after being notified of the seal, they ran to the beach, hoping to catch him and remove the rope.

"Unfortunately, he was quite spry and swam away as soon as we approached," they said.
