Sheriff's Search And Rescue Find Hiker Lost Near Multnomah Falls
A search and rescue team from the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office braved through snow, ice, and darkness to safely return a lost hiker.

PORTLAND, OR – The call came in around 2:30 on Sunday afternoon and the person on the phone was in a potentially deadly situation. He had been hiking not far from Multnomah Falls and became lost as everything was covered with snow and ice.
The man was cold, he wasn't sure where he was, he was running out of energy. And his cell phone was dying.
Deputies say that the man – whose name is Jesse; they have not released his last name – had been hiking most of the day. The one thing that he was pretty sure of was that he'd been on trail 441 by Larch Mountain.
