Portland Police Arrest Driver After He Strikes Protester Downtown
Police say that 55-year-old Mark Davidson drove his Chevrolet pickup into a protesting crowd and struck someone.

PORTLAND, OR — A man is under arrest after police say that he drove his pickup into a protest downtown, striking one of the protesters. Mark Davidson, 55, is charged with assault, reckless endangerment, and reckless driving.
Police say that it happened Wednesday afternoon and Davidson struck a protester. The person did not require medical attention.
A handful of protesters had gathered in front of the Multnomah County Courthouse in reaction to a grand jury decision not to indict two members of the Portland Police Bureau who had shot and killed Patrick Kimmons in September.

In video posted online by multiple news agencies, the protesters can be heard demanding city officials release "the full video" taken from the parking lot where officers Garry Britt and Jeffrey Livingston shot 27-year-old Kimmons — after he reportedly shot two other people who were fighting.
It's unclear how long the traffic disruption may last. Commuters are encouraged to find other routes through downtown.
