Trail Blazers Announce 2016-17 Schedule

Does it seem like basketball season just ended? That it was just a couple of weeks ago that the Cleveland Cavaliers capped off an amazing come from behind victory to win the NBA title?

Well, get ready for next season.

The NBA released their schedule for the 2016-17 season on Thursday.

The Portland Trail Blazers open their season at home on Tuesday October 25 against the Utah Jazz. The Blazers actually play seven of their first 12 games at home - including visits from the Los Angeles Clippers and Golden State Warriors.

Those wanting to see King James should make plans to go to the Moda Center on January 11 when the defending champion Cleveland Cavaliers come to town.

The team's longest home stand is January 25-February 3 when they have five games. They also have three five-game road trips.

Portland plays 10 of their 14 Western Conference rivals four times. They play the Rockets, Clippers, Grizzlies and Kings only three times each.

They play each Eastern Conference team twice.

They end the season with 10 of 12 games at home but finish up on April 12th in New Orleans
