Troutdale Break-In Sends Woman Into Hiding Where She Calls 911
Court documents say a woman, while hiding, called 911 after Rene Garza broke in. He was later arrested and said he "knew it was wrong."

PORTLAND, OR – A woman, hiding in her bedroom, was able to call 911 and report that someone had broken into her home. That man, Rene Garza, is now in jail after being arrested.
It happened Monday on the 2400 block of Southwest McGinnis Avenue in Troutdale.
Deputies from the sheriff's office arrived and found several windows of the woman's home had been broken.

Soon after, they also found Garza. Court papers indicate that he had the woman's purse with him.

Court papers say that he told deputies that when he looked through the purse – which had cash and credit cards inside – he thought, "this is good."
The court papers also say that he admitted taking the purse despite the fact that, he "obviously knew it was wrong."
