Ultra High-Speed Rail? Oregon Considers It, Wants Your Opinion
ODOT is looking for feedback about ways "to strengthen connections among Portland, Seattle, and Vancouver. Ultra-high speed rail's an option

PORTLAND, OR – How would you like to travel from Portland to Vancouver, BC in less than two hours? That includes a stop in Seattle.
Oregon, Washington, and British Columbia are looking at a way to make it happen. It centers on what's known as ultra-high speed rail. Officials say that type of transportation system would trim the travel time by rail to less than two hours from more than eight hours.
"Many believe such a transportation alignment could help create an international hub for innovative partnerships, significant job creation, and enhanced entertainment activities," the Oregon Department of Transportation said on Wednesday.
