Washington Murder Suspect Arrested In Portland, Gun Recovered
Portland Police arrested Thomas Cooper as he worked out in a 24-hour Fitness on SE McLoughlin. He's wanted for murder in Lakewood, WA.

PORTLAND, OR – Thomas Cooper was working out in the 24-hour Fitness on Southeast McLoughlin around 11 on Monday morning. Now, he sits in the Multnomah County Jail where he was brought after being brought there by members of the Portland Police Bureau's Gun Violence Reduction Team.
Police say that while he was at the gym working out, the31-year-old Cooper had a loaded gun with him. It was in a duffel bag in his locker.
They also discovered that Cooper is wanted for homicide in Lakewood, WA.

Cooper is being held on weapons charges in Portland as well as on the out of state warrant from Washington.

Lakewood Police had not provided details of the homicide as of early Sunday night.
