Wine Festival At Mt. Hood Meadows Aug. 18

Reserve your tickets now for the Mountain Wine Festival and Winemaker's Dinner, which will feature award-winning wines from OR and WA.

From Mt. Hood Meadows: Mt. Hood Meadows presents the Mountain Wine Festival Saturday August 18, a showcase of the many flavorful varieties of wine grown in Oregon and Washington. The festival will be presented on Sun Deck in full view of Mt. Hood.

Indulge in white wines, award winning Pinot Noirs and Mt. Hood Meadows private reserve labels. The wine festival runs from 1 to 5 p.m. and costs $12 for a commemorative wine glass and your first flight tastes.

Mt. Hood Meadows runs the Stadium chairlift for scenic rides Thursdays through Sundays from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., and until sunset on Saturdays.

Those enjoying the wine festival can also hike, play games on the deck and listen to live music from Dave Tragethon.

Meadows also presents a Winemakers Dinner featuring Phelps Creek Vineyard and a menu designed and presented by guest chef Steven Woerdehoff of Portland’s Produce Row Cafe.

The extraordinary five course meal includes perfect pairings from Phelps Creek Vineyard tastefully presented from the appetizer and dessert Gewürztraminers to the Chardonnay, Viognier and Pino Noir along the way. Pan seared sea scallops, a lobster bisque and smoked lamb shank are just a portion of the delectable menu.

The dinner begins at 5 p.m. and requires advance reservation for$60 (gratuity included).

A special Wine Festival Experience package can be purchased for $75 that includes wine festival admission, all day scenic chair rides and the Wine Maker's Dinner.
