2002 Bensalem High School Grad Passes Away At 33

​Nicholas Anthony Kowal passed away suddenly on March 9. He was a 2002 graduate of Bensalem High School.

Nicholas Anthony Kowal of Bensalem passed away suddenly on March 9, 2017 at his home. He was 33.

Born in Philadelphia, raised in Bensalem, he was a graduate of Bensalem High School class of 2002, and then a graduate of The Restaurant School at Walnut Hill College. As a Chef, he worked at restaurants and country clubs throughout the Philadelphia area before relocating to Ashville, North Carolina where he continued his career.

He was a great cook and especially enjoyed making holiday dinners for his family. Nick was a well-rounded athlete excelling in soccer. He loved cars and motorcycles, enjoyed snowboarding, trips to the Jersey Shore and played in World Tavern Poker.

Nick is preceded in death by his grandparents, Frank and Mary Kowal. He will be greatly missed by his parents, Nick and Dee Kowal, his sister Christina Kowal and her fiancé Andrew Larsen, his grandparents, John and Theresa Salvia. He will also be greatly missed by, his aunt, Anna Marie Dato and her husband Phil, his uncles, Ted Kowal and his wife Eva, Joe Kowal and his fiancé Sue, Frank Kowal, Robert Salvia and his wife Toni, Stephen Salvia and his wife Eileen, and many cousins and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday, March 17 from 9:15 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at St. Ephrem Church, 5400 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem, PA 19020. Funeral mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
