2021 Guide To Memorial Day Events In Bucks County
Bucks County communities will honor the brave men and women who've made the ultimate sacrifice this Memorial Day. Here's where:
BUCKS COUNTY, PA — Although the coronavirus pandemic canceled Memorial Day events in Bucks County last year, many of them will return in a few days to honor the brave military men and women who've served this nation proudly and paid the ultimate sacrifice.
Events honoring these fallen heroes this year come after Gov. Tom Wolf announced earlier this month that all COVID-19 mitigation orders — except for the mask mandate — would be lifted on Memorial Day. This includes restrictions on businesses like bars and restaurants, capacity sizes for events and more.

Bensalem
- The return of Bensalem's Township's annual Memorial Day parade will take place Monday, May 31 at 10 a.m. along Route 13/Bristol Pike (beginning at Suzuki Fun Center and ending on Mill Road). "We are really looking forward to this, and we look forward to honoring our veterans," Mayor Joseph DiGirolamo said in a video recently posted to YouTube.
Doylestown

- Doylestown's Memorial Day Parade is officially back this year and begins promptly at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 31. The route will go down West Court Street from Central Bucks West High School to Clinton Street. It will then follow State and Main Streets before turning onto East Court Street and concluding at the Doylestown Cemetery.
Newtown
- The Church of Saint Andrew, at 81 Swamp Rd. in Newtown, will dedicate a new veteran’s memorial statue, “Lest We Forget,” on Sunday, May 30. Veterans, families, friends and parishioners are invited to the Memorial Day mass at noon that day. Following mass, the community is invited to take part in a procession and dedication of the statue on the parish grounds to honor those who have served and are currently serving the country.
- Newtown American Legion Post 440 will hold a shortened parade on Memorial Day, Monday, May 31 beginning at 10 a.m. Veterans will march and ride from the Newtown Cemetery, where they will pause at the gravesite of Morel Smith to place a wreath. The parade will then head west on Centre Avenue to the Newtown Library Company where they will pause at the World War I monument for TAPS and to lay a wreath. The parade will then head north on Congress Street to the Lighthouse Hill Cemetery and then east to Pickering Field for the presentation of colors prior to the Vintage baseball game.
Langhorne
- The Jesse Soby Post of the American Legion will host the Langhorne Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 31. Ceremonies begin at 9 a.m. at at 115 West Richardson Ave. with the parade kicking off at the end of the program.
Morrisville
- The 2021 Morrisville Borough Memorial Day Parade will be held this year on Monday, May 31. With the assistance of the Morrisville Fire Company and Morrisville Borough along with the surrounding community, the town will honor Memorial Day with reenactors, active military, veterans, marching bands and community organizations. Residents are encouraged to come out and show their patriotism and support. The parade will step off at 9 a.m. sharp from the Morrisville Presbyterian Church and will conclude with a small ceremony at the Morrisville Cemetery on South Pennsylvania Avenue. This year there will be no post-parade event at the fire station.
Hulmeville
- The Penndel-Hulmeville Memorial Day Parade will kick off at 9 a.m. on Saturday, May 29 on Lincoln Avenue in Hulmeville. The parade will march onto Ford Avenue and then turn right onto Main. It will then follow Main to Hulme Avenue and Hulme to Bellevue. The parade will pause at the memorial for a prayer before continuing on Bellevue to Woodland, then to Hulmeville Road before ending at the Penndel Memorial Ball Field. A reviewing stand will be set up at the end of the parade featuring parade officials and honored guests.
Sellersville
- The Sellersville American Legion Post #255 will host a Memorial Day drive-thru parade to honor the fallen, veterans and emergency responders. The driving parade will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 29 from Pennridge High School and proceed through Perkasie along 5th St ending at the Sellersville Firehouse. A memorial service will take place at the Veteran’s Memorial in Lenape Park.
Yardley
- The Yardley Memorial Day Parade will kick off at 11 a.m. at Maplevale Avenue and Taylorsville Road. The parade will then head south on Main Street and to the American Legion Post. The event is hosted by VFW Post 6393.
Quakertown
- The American Legion Post 242 Memorial Day Parade will form on 9th Street between Park Avenue and Main Street at 8 a.m. and start promptly at 9 a.m. It will proceed north on 9th Street to Broad Street, make a right on Broad Street and continue east until N. 4th Street, make a left and continue north to Mill Street, make a left and continue until Memorial Park monument where they will conduct their program. Following the memorial service refreshments will be served at the Quakertown American Legion.
