61 Philly-Area Communities Make Top 100 Places To Live In PA List
A new ranking of the state's best places to live has been released, and includes 61 Philadelphia-area communities.
A Chester County town has been ranked as the best place to live Pennsylvania by Niche, a website that analyzes neighborhoods, school districts and colleges. Niche recently released its rankings of the 100 best places to live for each state. Sixty one Philadelphia-area communities cracked the top 100, including four that made the top 10.
To calculate the rankings and assign grades to communities, Niche looks at factors like the quality of local schools, crime rates, housing trends, employment statistics and access to amenities. Niche gets its data from government sources like the Department of Education, the FBI and the U.S. Census.

- Houserville, Centre County
- Mt. Lebanon, Allegheny County
- Penn Wynne, Montgomery County
- Squirrel Hill North, Allegheny County
- Ardmore, Delaware County
- Lemont, Centre County
- Franklin Park, Allegheny County
- Boalsburg, Centre County
- Berwyn, Chester County
