Bensalem Extends Local Tax Deadline
The April 15 deadline to pay personal earned income taxes and business taxes in the township were pushed back to match the federal deadline.
BENSALEM, PA — Bensalem Township has extended the deadline for local personal and business income taxes.
Mayor Joe DiGirolamo announced Wednesday that the deadline has been pushed from April 15 to May 17. That's the deadline for individual earned-income tax returns and business privilege tax returns.
The new deadline mirrors the federal income tax extension announced by the IRS in March.

Both locally and in Washington, the decision to delay the filing date for 2020 taxes was influenced by continued hardship many Americans face due to the coronavirus pandemic.
