Bensalem High Gets New Assistant Principal

Brian T. Butler most recently served as an assistant principal at a middle school in Harrisburg.

BENSALEM, PA — A new assistant principal has been named at Bensalem High School.

Last week, the Bensalem Township Board of School Directors appointed Brian T. Butler to the position of Ninth Grade Assistant Principal at the school. He'll take over the position on Oct. 30.

Butler has been an educator for 12 years, serving as assistant principal at Linglestown Middle School in the Central Dauphin School District in Harrisburg since July 2015. Previously, he taught social studies and was the basketball coach at Swatara Middle School in Dauphin County, where he also supervised clubs including the Leo Club and National Junior Honor Society.

Butler earned his B.S. in education, with certification in history and citizenship, at Kutztown University and a master's in science education and education development and strategies at Wilkes University. He got his principal/administration certificate from Cabrini College in 2013.

"As an administrator, I look forward to building relationships with staff, students, and the community," Butler said in a news release. "I intend to support the district's mission of ensuring a first-class education for the whole child that challenges and supports each student to discover a passion for learning while designing and achieving a personal vision of success."
