Sharp with his wit as with his sword meet Bob and the Steele Cavaliers who will teach, and entertain and the Village Library of Wrightstown's 20th Village Renaissance Faire, September 14 & 15
The Village Renaissance Faire is proud to say that some of our best acts have found the faire out of the goodness of their heart and nobleness of our purpose. Then after finding us, and performing for our community, the loved our community too, and have decided to make us their faire of choice to. SO, now at our 20th year we will celebrate different performers who has found us, and remained part of our community. So, read about our acts, then come and see us and them on September 14 & 15, 2019 at the Middletown Grange Fairgrounds, for a pittance of $10 for adults, $5 for students, and under 5 FREE with all proceeds going to the local public library--the Village Library of Wrightstown. Meet a historian, a gamesan, a swordsman and more:
Steele Cavaliers- fencing demonstrations for all, foam lessons for the young, a Kingdom Quest for those who are young at heart, led by Robert "Bob" Borton, Bensalem/Trevose and Tara Spiecker. Bob has not only founded and developed this group for aspiring young fencers but he also has created his own game board, which perhaps you may even find at the faire. At the Faire, Bob uses his ingenuity and grace to allow attendees to explore their appreciative and creative sides. The show lists will expose all to glamour, art, and lessons in Italian Fencing, Single Sword, Double Sword, Sword & Dagger (staff only), Sword & Cloak, and Spanish Circle, as well as foam lessons and contests for the young ones so they too can try their hand at fencing, safely for all. His vision has also created the Kingdom Quest where attendees explore the many offerings of the faire, learn some lessons and earn laughs along the way to earning the ability to be instructed by a knight and knighted themselves before the final royal joust.

Bob is a humble man who attributes a great deal to his partners and the members of his group. One of the most intriguing, is Tara Spiecker who has been with the faire since she herself was a wee one and has now brought that energy, excitement and offerings to countless others over the years. Tara is a former resident of Newtown who graduated through the Council Rock School District, and she has enjoyed seeing the Wrightstown Renaissance faire grow ever since she was present at the very first one back in 2000. Although she has since moved to Fort Washington, PA, she still considers the Wrightstown faire her "hometown renaissance faire." She has been participating in combat demonstrations at Wrightstown for the past few years.
