Bicycle Problems? Bensalem Creates Web Reporting Tool
Police say bicycle riders blocking traffic and causing other problems in the township has caused numerous complaints recently.
BENSALEM, PA — Police in Bensalem have created a Web page to let residents report problems with bicycle riders in the township.
In a news release, police said there have been numerous recent complaints about bicycle riders blocking traffic and otherwise causing problems on township roadways. They said the area around Springdale Drive and Wexford Road has been a "hot spot" for the activity.
"We are committed to addressing these issues in a manner that thwarts this activity but also keeps our bicycle riders safe," police said in the release. "Bensalem Police have created a portal where you can upload photographs and videos of these bicycle riders. Once we receive your submissions, we will investigate, identify and cite these individuals with the appropriate traffic violations."

Police said the new portal should only be used to upload photos or videos of bicycle riders causing problems in Bensalem Township. They urged residents to get the photos and videos safely and said that, if bike riders are causing serious problems, residents should call 911.
