Bucks Co. Gets Bigger Vaccine Shipment

After getting just over 13,000 doses the week before, Bucks County's shipment last week was more generous. See who got the most doses.

BUCKS COUNTY, PA — COVID-19 vaccine providers in Bucks County got a bigger shipment last week, as the number of vaccinations in Pennsylvania continued to ramp up.

Through Thursday, Bucks County had gotten 20,660 doses of the vaccine last week from the Pennsylvania Department of Health, officials said. That's up from just 13,810 doses the week before, due to a nationwide shortage.

Those totals don't include shipments that were part of direct federal partnerships with pharmacies such as CVS, Walgreen's and Rite Aid. Here are the Bucks County providers who received the most doses of vaccine last week:

  • Bucks County Health Department: 9,080 doses
  • Doylestown Hospital: 2,770 doses
  • Grand View and Jefferson Bucks Hospitals: (1,170 doses each)
  • Alpha Dermatology of PA: 1,000 doses

As of Monday morning, a total of 151,358 vaccinations had been administered in Bucks County, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Health. Of those, 53,091 people had been fully vaccinated and another 47,268 had received the first dose of a two-dose vaccine.

The state reported 123 new cases in Bucks on Saturday for a pandemic total of 47,183. That made the seven-day average of new cases 148 per day. One death reported Saturday raised the pandemic death toll in Bucks to 1,155.
