Bucks County Boy, 12, Dies Of Flu Complications While Battling Leukemia

"Brandon was courageous through all the battles he faced and always had a smile on his face," his obituary said.

A 12-year-old Bristol Township boy died this week from complications of the flu, his family said in an obituary.

Brandon Vincent Heiler, who had battled leukemia for four years, died "peacefully" Monday, his obituary said. Services will be held Sunday.

"Brandon was courageous through all the battles he faced and always had a smile on his face," his obituary said.

Brandon Vincent Heiler of Bristol Township went home to Jesus on Monday March 20, 2017. He was 12 years old. He was born in Levittown on October 23, 2004 to Amanda Lynn Bass and John Heiler.

He died peacefully surrounded by his loving family. Brandon died from complications of the flu and the result of battling leukemia for 4 years. Our hero and inspiration, Brandon was courageous through all the battles he faced and always had a smile on his face. He cared about everyone else more than himself. His gentle and selfless spirit was an inspiration to all he touched and who loved him. He was like a mother hen to his baby brother RJ and his cousin Rachael.

Brandon is survived by his mother Amanda; his dad John ; Robert Flail ; his aunt Tina Phillips (Brian); his grandparents Carolann and Ronald Bass and Eugene and Rose Heiler ; his great grandparents Mildred and Henry Henriksson. He is also survived by his brothers RJ and Logan; Helen and Rich Flail and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Family and friends will be received at First Presbyterian Church of Levittown 5918 Emilie Rd, Levittown, PA 19057 on Sunday from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm his funeral service will follow at 4:00 pm. His interment will take place on Monday morning at 10:30 am in Morrisville Cemetery.
