Cheech and Chong Coming To Parx Casino (ICYMI)

The "Up In Smoke" duo, known for their counter-culture, stoner humor, last toured together in 2008.

BENSALEM, PA — The laughs at Parx Casino are going up in smoke in December. Richard "Cheech" Marin and Tommy Chong — the comedy duo whose stoner personas have made them cult favorites since the '70s, will be performing at the casino's Xcite Center on Saturday, Dec. 8.

Tickets for the show go on sale Friday.

Through the '70s and '80s, Cheech and Chong helped define an era of irreverent, counter-culture comedy, putting out nine comedy albums and eight films, including "Up In Smoke," "Things Are Tough All Over" and "Born in East L.A."

The pair met in Vancouver, British Columbia, in the late '60s after Marin moved there to avoid the draft during the Vietnam War. Their current tour is a decade-later follow up to their successful Cheech & Chong Light Up America Tour in 2008.

That outing was the first time the two had toured together in 25 years.
