BENSALEM, PA — Dutch is a shy boy. That may be one of the reasons he's been with Women's Animal Shelter in Bensalem since January.

Workers at the shelter say the 1 1/2-year old pittie came to them on Jan. 2 and "is shy as could be." Dutch takes a while to warm up to people, according to shelter workers. But once he does, they say, he "loves them unconditionally."

They say he's currently staying in a foster home, where he loves his canine brothers and sisters. Workers say that having another dog in his future home would probably help turn up his comfort level.

He probably shouldn't live with cats or small children though, because he's a bit skittish.

"Dutch has been in our care for quite a while, and we know that now is his time to move on to his forever home," the shelter told Patch.
