Final I-95 Lane Closings For Construction In Bucks Next Week

Weather permitting, the entire project is expected to be finished by the end of October, PennDOT said.

BENSALEM, PA — Construction along a patch of Interstate 95 in Bucks County has hit its final stage, according to PennDOT.

Double-lane closures planned for next week, between the Rt. 413 (Bristol) and Academy Road interchanges, will be the last in that area, according to the department.

The closures are scheduled from Monday, Oct. 21, through Friday, Oct. 25, from 7 p.m.-5 a.m.

They're for a project to repair and resurface 13 miles of I-95 and I-295 in Bensalem, Bristol, Middletown and Lower Makefield townships.

Weather permitting, the entire project is expected to be finished by the end of October, PennDOT said.

Under the $36.5 million project, PennDOT fixed up existing pavement, did repairs, installed new guide rails, repaired and replaced damaged traffic signs, performed minor bridge-deck repairs and installed rumble strips and delineators along the I-95/I-295 corridor.

It was financed with 80 percent federal and 20 percent state funds.
