Flash Flood Watch Sunday In Philly Region: NWS

A flash flood watch has been issued for parts of Southeastern Pennsylvania starting Sunday evening and going through the morning.

The National Weather Service has declared a hazardous weather outlook and flash flood watch in Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties from 6 p.m. Sunday through 8 a.m. Monday morning.

A light to moderate rainfall will continue throughout the day Sunday, becoming heavier in the evening and overnight, according to Accuweather. As much as 2 inches of rain could fall in some parts of the Philadelphia region, Accuweather says. Thunderstorms are also possible.

Showers will continue Monday, clearing by Monday night. More rain and storms are possible Tuesday night, the NWS predicts.

This Afternoon: Showers. High near 69. East wind 7 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Tonight: Showers. Low around 55. East wind around 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between three quarters and one inch possible.

Monday: Showers likely, mainly before 7am. Partly sunny, with a high near 70. East wind around 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Monday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 52. East wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 76. Calm wind becoming south around 5 mph in the afternoon.

Tuesday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 62. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Wednesday: A chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 8am. Partly sunny, with a high near 82. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 63.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 84.
