Funeral Services Set For Bensalem 8th Grader
An online fundraiser has been established to help the family pay the costs of Aiden Rooney's funeral.
BENSALEM, PA — Funeral services have been set for Saturday for a Shafer Middle School student who passed away Monday afternoon.
Services for Aiden Rooney, 14, are scheduled for noon to 2 p.m. at Tomlinson Funeral Home in Bensalem. The funeral home is located at 2207 Bristol Pike.
A fundraiser on crowdfunding site GoFundMe has been established to help pay the funeral expenses. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested for that fund. The fundraiser's page says that Aiden died suddenly on Monday.

"Aiden was a terrific classmate, friend, and student who made valuable contributions to the Shafer community," Bensalem School District Superintendent Samuel Lee said Tuesday in a letter to the school community. "He a passionate percussionist in the Shafer band and orchestra."
