Happy Mother’s Day From Dawne Leedom
"You were and will always be the very strongest woman I'll ever know."

In celebration of Mother's Day on Sunday May 13, we asked Patch readers to write a letter to their mother and let us deliver it. This is Dawne Leedom's letter to her mom:
Dear Ma,
I never knew I’d be able to live without you, but you taught me to be independent. And as hard as this is, especially with both you and Kim gone, I’m comforted knowing she has you. She needed you more than I did, Ma.
And you can breathe now. And be comfortable. No more worries for you. Lord knows you had more than your fair share of worrying, but you were and will always be the very strongest woman I’ll ever know.
I don’t know how you did it, but in this life of mine, If I can be half as strong as you were, I’ll be more than proud of myself. Love and miss you more than words could ever say.
Dawne
