Happy Mother’s Day To Kathryn Blaney

"Our love and respect for family and honesty has always been the backbone of everything you taught us."

In celebration of Mother's Day on Sunday May 13, we asked Patch readers to write a letter to their mother and let us deliver it. This is Dave and Missy's letter to their mom:

Dear Mom,

I always describe you as the epitome of a true matriarch in our family. You show endless love and support towards not only all nine of your children and their spouses, but also all 30 of your grandchildren and 10 of your great-grandchildren.

You are so selfless, constantly doing things for all of us, whether it’s driving to a practice or game, sewing a hem or babysitting. You have supported and raised some amazing and strong kids. Our love and respect for family and honesty has always been the backbone of everything you taught us.

If I can be half the woman and mom you are, I will be so grateful for this life. Thank you, Mom, not just today on Mother’s Day but every day for all you do and for all of your unconditional love!

Love always,

Dave and Missy
