Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued Ahead Of Stormy, Windy Saturday

Feels like spring, right?

That feeling will continue through Saturday, except it could come in the form of thunderstorms.

The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for Saturday, saying dense fog, thunderstorms and "damaging" wind gusts are possible in Eastern Pennsylvania.

The "patchy dense fog" is possible on Saturday morning. Then, Saturday afternoon or evening, a "narrow line of heavy showers and embedded thunderstorms" is expected to move through the Philadelphia region.

"These storms may produce isolated damaging wind gusts," the National Weather Service warns. The chance of precipitation is estimated at 90 percent.

The Weather Channel is currently estimating thunderstorms will start between 3 and 5 p.m. Saturday. Things should clear out by 9 p.m.

It will remain unseasonably warm, too. Saturday's high in the region should be near 70.

Things will cool down a bit Sunday, when a high of 46 is predicted. But "spring" will return Wednesday, when a high in the 60s is predicted.

Saturday: A chance of showers, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 1pm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. High near 70. South wind 7 to 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Saturday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 10pm, then a chance of showers between 10pm and 1am. Cloudy during the early evening, then gradual clearing, with a low around 35. West wind 13 to 16 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 46. West wind 13 to 16 mph.

Sunday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 32.

Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 52.

Monday Night: A chance of showers. Partly cloudy, with a low around 38. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Tuesday: A chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 58. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Tuesday Night: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 46. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Wednesday: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 61. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
