Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued For Tuesday Storms, Wind

A Hazardous Weather Outlook has been issued for what is expected to be a wet and windy Tuesday complete with January thunderstorms.

The snow and ice may be gone (for now) but Tuesday will be far from pleasant. It will be mild, but it will also be stormy, windy and wet.

The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook across Eastern Pennsylvania ahead of possible thunderstorms that could bring strong wind gusts and even flooding to the region Tuesday morning.

The showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected to arrive during the morning and could linger into the early afternoon hours, the National Weather Service said. The storms will bring strong winds and possible downpours. Wind gusts of 40 to 45 mph are possible.

Forecasters also predict the rain could result in flooding on roadways and other areas of poor drainage.

While it may be wet, at least it will be warm. The mild temperatures will continue Tuesday, with a high of 60 degrees predicted.
