Lane Closures Set On U.S. 1, Turnpike, Street Road In Bensalem
The lane closures next week will be as work to rebuild and widen part of U.S. 1 in Bensalem continues.
BENSALEM, PA — Lanes will be closed on U.S. 1, Street Road and the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Bensalem next week, as roadwork in the area continues.
The closures will be for the project to rebuild, widen and improve a 1.3-mile section of U.S. 1 in Bensalem, PennDOT said.

- On Sunday through Tuesday, there will be single-lane closures on the westbound turnpike from 10 p.m.-4 a.m. and on the eastbound turnpike from 11 p.m.-5 a.m. The closures will be for removal of underside shielding on the new U.S. 1 bridge over the turnpike at the Bensalem interchange.
- On Sunday through December, from 8 p.m.-6 a.m., single lane closures on either northbound or southbound U.S. 1 will be in place periodically between Rockhill Drive and Old Lincoln Highway for road and bridge construction.
- On Sunday through Friday, there will be periodic single lane closures from 8 p.m.-6 a.m. on either eastbound or westbound Street Road between Old Lincoln Highway and Kingston Way for road and bridge construction.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and slowdowns are expected to take place.
