The $95.1 million project, financed 80 percent with federal money and 20 percent with state funds, is expected to be finished in late 2022. The contract is the first of three intended to rebuild and widen U.S. 1, replace aging bridges and install other safety improvements along a four-mile section of the highway from just north of Philadelphia to just north of Rt. 413 (Pine Street) in Middletown and Langhorne.
