Lanes On U.S. 1, Street Rd., Bristol Rd. To Close In Bensalem
Work will continue next week on the project to improve and widen a 1.3-mile section of U.S. 1.
BENSALEM, PA — Overnight lane closures on U.S. 1, Street Road and Bristol Road in Bensalem are planned once again for next week.
The closures will run from 8 p.m.-6 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 19, through Friday, Jan. 24.
They are for bridge and road work on a project to rebuild, widen and improve a 1.3-mile section of U.S. 1 in Bensalem, PennDOT said Thursday.

The planned closures are:
- Northbound or southbound U.S. 1 between Rockhill Drive and Old Lincoln Highway
- Eastbound or westbound Street Road between Old Lincoln Highway and Kingston Way
- Bristol Road between Belmont Avenue and Old Lincoln Highway. Traffic will be controlled by flagging.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and slowdowns are expected.
