$10M Sports Betting Room Opens At Parx: See Inside

BENSALEM, PA — On Thursday, Parx Casino unveiled its new sportsbook — a sports betting room that's the result of a $10 million expansion at the Bensalem casino.
Months in the making, the new sportsbook is a roomy, 7,400-square-foot space featuring tons of state-of-the art touches, including a 156-foot, high-definition media wall that can show up to 36 games at the same time.
The sportsbook features six live tellers, 18 kiosks, 200 seats, three VIP areas and a 38-foot by 14-foot bar with 38 seats and a four-tier light design hanging from above.

Legal sports betting became possible at casinos in states across the nation in May, when the U.S. Supreme Court struck down a longstanding prohibition on the practice in most states.
The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board approved the first licenses for casinos to host sports betting in October. Parx was one of two casinos, along with Penn National Gaming, to receive the board's approval.
