Macy's At Neshaminy Mall Sold, Mixed-Use Project Planned
Agents said Monday the new owner plans to turn the space into a mix of larger stores, exterior-facing small retail stores and restaurants.

BENSALEM, PA — The former location of Macy's in Neshaminy Mall has been sold, with plans for a mix of larger and smaller stores and other businesses to replace it.
The team behind the sale announced it on Monday. The 211,000-square-foot space has been a "dark anchor" at the Bensalem mall since its closure — which was announced in January 2017 as part of the department store chain's closure of 100 locations.
Colliers Retail said Monday that the new owner plans to turn the space into a mix of larger stores, exterior-facing small retail stores and restaurants. Fitness, entertainment and office space are among the potential tenants, the sales team said.

"We are excited to be an integral part of the redevelopment of this parcel," said Todd Sussman, senior managing director with Colliers Retail, which will be the space's leasing agents. "The 16 acres and the former Macy's box will certainly be the key to transforming one of the most strategically placed malls in the tri-state area."
As Strawbridge's, the department store was an original tenant of Neshaminy Mall in 1968. It became a Macy's in 2006.
