Meet Leeloo, Available For Adoption Now In Bensalem
The 4-year-old is sweet and goofy and could really use a safe, happy home.

BENSALEM, PA — Leeloo is a sweet, goofy girl who needs a little help.
A 4-year-old pitbull mix, Leeloo came to Women's Animal Shelter in Bensalem when her owners were moving and couldn't take her with them. Shelter staff say she's a shy girl who takes a while to open up but, once she does, she's "incredibly loving and goofy."
Unfortunately, while in the shelter, Leeloo has gotten sores on her legs — which happens sometimes to dogs who have to lay on a hard surface. Folks at the shelter say her sores likely won't heal in a shelter setting, another reason she'd really benefit from a forever home.

Until then, the shelter is also open to finding someone to foster Leeloo. They think she'd do well in a home with children, other dogs and, likely, cats.
Details on the Women's Animal Center adoption process are available on the group's website. The adoption fee for dogs nine months and older is $125.
