Neshaminy Mall Vaccine Clinic Set To Open

Bucks County commissioners approved a COVID-19 vaccine clinic at the old H& M store at the Bensalem mall.

BENSALEM, PA — The Bucks County Board of Commissioners on Wednesday approved plans to open a coronavirus vaccine clinic at Neshaminy Mall in Bensalem in the next couple of weeks.

At their regular meeting, commissioners approved an agreement with the mall. The clinic will be set up at the former site of the H&M clothing store in the mall.

County officials say the Bensalem coronavirus vaccine clinic could be open as early as March 16. It will be delivering the Pfizer vaccine and is expected to be able to give 200-500 shots per day, depending on vaccine supplies.

Operating hours for the clinic will be 11 a.m.-7 p.m. on Tuesday through Saturday, officials said. Meanwhile, the three public vaccination clinics on Bucks County Community College, including one in Bristol, will continue to make appointments.

Last month, Bensalem Mayor Joseph DiGirolamo said arrangements had been made to set up a clinic at the mall. He said at the time that the county was waiting for a big enough supply of the COVID-19 vaccine to run the clinic.

On Monday, Bucks County officials said they received their biggest shipment yet of the vaccine — nearly 4,700 doses — last week and that after Philadelphia's suburban counties got less than their fair share of doses, state officials have promised to continue increasing shipments.

Health officials already plan to double the number of vaccinations given at the county's three existing clinics this week.

On Wednesday, commissioners also approved plans for a vaccine clinic in Quakertown. It will be at the St. Luke's Quakertown campus, at 1021 Park Ave.
