Nighttime Lane Closures Set On Street Road, U.S. 1
There also will be intermittent closures on Business U.S. 1 next week as a new phase of the construction project begins.
BENSALEM, PA — Nighttime lane closures are scheduled for next week on U.S. 1 and Street Road in Bensalem as construction there continues.
The roadwork and bridge construction is part of an ongoing PennDOT project to widen and improve a 1.3-mile section of U.S. 1 in Bensalem.

- Single lane closures on U.S. 1, between Rockhill Drive and Old Lincoln Highway, are scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 6, through Friday, Oct. 11, from 8 p.m.-6 a.m.
- Single lane closures on Street Road (Rt. 132) between Old Lincoln Highway and Kingston Way are scheduled for Sunday Oct. 6, through Friday, Oct. 11, from 8 p.m.-6 a.m.
- Periodic lane closures will be in place on the northbound side of Business U.S. 1 at Bristol Road and on the ramps to and from U.S. 1 and Business U.S. 1 (Old Lincoln Highway) on Wednesday, Oct. 9, through Friday, Oct. 11 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. for soil testing operations for the next phase of the project.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the area because backups and slowdowns are expected. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
The work in Bensalem is part of a larger project to rebuild and widen a four-mile section of U.S. 1 from just north of Philadelphia to just north of Rt. 413 in Middletown and Langhorne.
