Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma Survivor Assists Local Relay for Life

Patch readers told us who the "Everyday Inspirations" in their communities are, and we're sharing their stories and the work they've done locally.

Everyday Inspirations is a series that features people in Patch communities who inspire others through their work, or people who have faced extraordinary situations and grown from them. They have been featured by other people in the community that have been inspired by the nominees.

Name: Kelly Levin
Town: Bensalem, PA
Nominated by: Kathy Allen

Why is this person an "Everyday Inspiration?"
Kelly is truly an inspiration to her family, friends, coworkers and her community! She has been a volunteer for Bensalem's Relay for Life for 10 years and was the chairwoman for the Survivor Luncheon at the Relay in June.

Kelly is on the board of Valley AA, where her two sons, Sam and Noah, play baseball. Kelly has taken on a full time position at Cherokee as the Event Coordinator. Kelly offers birthday party packages on site, hosts fun-filled family weekend events for the community and manages the newly year round child care/after school program at Cherokee!

Has the nominee's life been changed in an extraordinary way?

Kelly is a non-Hodgkins Lymphoma survivor and volunteers her time with the American Cancer Society and Bensalem Relay for Life. Being a part of the community through her volunteerism, her new position at Cherokee and member of the Valley AA Board, her life has changed immensely in a good way!

How does this person work to make others' lives better?

Kelly always gives her love, undivided attention and compassion to all who come in contact with her. It is her mission in life to make people happy and to help those who are afflicted with cancer!

Her love for her community shows through her beautiful smile and easy going demeanor. The roles that she plays in her community are an integral part of making Bensalem what it is today: a family-oriented, fun filled, people place to live!
